Before transporting poultry and other animal meat or bird products such as chickens, the chickens are slaughtered under a strict environment and then immediately cooled down after being slaughtered in an environment of 0°C to 4°C. After it will go through ozone sterilisation and other fresh-keeping treatments.

During the storage, transportation and sales, the poultry product are all stored at temperature between 0°C to 4°C. Poultry and livestock products should be handled with care while unloading and unloading should be handle as soon as possible using the proper equipment upon arrival at destination location.

Chilled birds or chickens have a short shelf life of only 7 days and therefore the preservation requirements are also higher. If the transportation and storage conditions are not in the 0°C to 4°C control environment, the quality of chicken may be affected. The taste and nutrition of chilled chickens is no worse than that of chickens that are slaughtered or even better.

The frozen chickens have a storage condition of -18°C to -35°C. After the chicken is slaughtered, it is quickly cooled to freeze and stored at -18°C to -35°C. If frozen chickens are frozen at ultra-low temperature, the nutrition and taste of the chicken can be maintained to the maximum. The shelf life is generally about one year.

Frozen chickens have the advantage of long shelf life and easy preservation. In terms of nutrition, the taste of frozen chickens is slightly worse than that of chilled chickens.

Please try to pay attention when handling and thawing frozen chickens and animals. It is best to thaw them quickly. This will minimise the loss of fluid and water in the cells of the chicken and thus it will taste better and also good for your health.
